Hung Yen’s longan is well-known not only for its sweet taste, but also for its lovely form. The outer skin of the longan is buff-brown or ash-green, wraps around the fruit like a lantern. Each longan is coated with a natural mist, giving it a jewel-like appearance. Hung Yen’s longan is tasty with a large, round fruit, silky skin, succulent pulp, clear as amber juice, and an amazingly sweet flavor. With all of these features, Hung Yen’s longan is a piece of art and a testament to hometown’s flavour.
The Vietnam Intellectual Property officials awarded a Geographical Indication Certificate for Hung Yen province's longan product in 2017. This acknowledges the uniqueness, fame, and prestige of Hung Yen’s longan. The Huong Chi longan was chosen by the People's Committee of Hung Yen Province and VINACS for BAMBOO AIRWAYS customers.
According to the local elders, this sort of longan was produced from Elder Huong Chi's garden in Hong Chau ward, Hung Yen town, so it got its name Huong Chi longan. This longan is superior in taste when compared to other available types in Hung Yen region. The longan production process adheres to VIETGAP standards, has an origin tracing code, and provides food safety and cleanliness.
VINACS is pleased to be presenting Hung Yen’s longan to Bamboo Airways' business class passengers (on flights departing from Noi Bai international airport and at First Lounge Noi Bai) from August 27th to 31st, 2023.
Beginning with the concept of adding well-known items and incorporating local travel experiences to Bamboo Airways flights, VINACS and the Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee have agreed to collaborate together in this idea.
