On December 24, 2024, at the headquarters of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Vietnam Air Catering Services JSC. (VINACS) and VINACS Long Thành Air Catering Services Company Limited (VINACS Long Thành) signed a contract with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam for the investment and operation of the second in-flight catering service project at Long Thành International Airport (hereinafter referred to as the "Project").
Previously, VINACS was approved by the Ministry of Transport as the winning bidder for the Project. This is the result of the dedicated efforts of VINACS's leadership, staff, and employees over a long period since the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam issued the call for expressions of interest in 2022. The Project, with a capacity of approximately 20,000 meals per day, will align with the infrastructure of Long Thành International Airport, serving 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo annually in its first phase.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Mr. Phạm Văn Hảo, emphasized the importance of the Project in ensuring the progress and efficiency of the first phase of Long Thành International Airport's construction. Both parties pledged to strictly adhere to the terms of the contract and to bring the Project into operation as soon as possible.

The successful implementation of this Project will add another “footprint” of VINACS on the aviation map of Vietnam, alongside its established presence at Nội Bài, Cam Ranh, Phú Quốc, Cát Bi, and Vân Đồn international airports.
Building on its achievements, the investment and operation of the second in-flight catering service project at Long Thành International Airport will present VINACS with new opportunities and challenges, requiring unwavering determination and effort from the company’s leadership, staff, and employees. Following the contract signing, VINACS and VINACS Long Thành immediately began preparations for the Project.
