In order to provide passengers with diverse experiences while promoting Vietnamese agricultural products, VINACS continuously seeks and selects high-quality specialties from different regions to introduce to air travelers, thereby contributing to agricultural consumption and socio-economic development in local communities. A highlight of these efforts was the cooperation signing ceremony for the distribution of Hung Yen longan and agricultural products on August 20, 2025. This partnership demonstrates the preservation of the renowned longan variety and elevates it into the aviation service chain, from premium business lounges to 5-star international flights, opening a promising and sustainable pathway for both VINACS and Hung Yen’s signature specialty.
VINACS and VINAGRI Vietnam sign a Cooperation Agreement for Hung Yen longan supply
At the 2025 Hung Yen Longan and Agricultural Products Promotion Conference, provincial leaders, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, local authorities, and numerous domestic and international producers, processors, and distributors gathered to promote Hung Yen’s agricultural brand, connect supply and demand, and expand consumption both in Vietnam and abroad.
Within the framework of the conference, delegates visited exhibition booths, tasted fresh longan and processed products, alongside many other distinctive specialties of Hung Yen. The event provided an opportunity to highlight the province’s production potential, reaffirm its position as Vietnam’s “longan capital,” and foster sustainable cooperation between farmers, cooperatives, enterprises, and distributors.

The essence of Hung Yen longan through VINACS chefs’ hands
Hung Yen longan is not just an ingredient; it comes alive in the hands of VINACS chefs, where tradition blends with modern creativity.
At VINACS, the preparation of Lotus Seed Longan Sweet Soup is carried out with great care, from the selection of ingredients to internal evaluation before being served to passengers.
Ingredients include premium dried lotus seeds, soaked, de-cored, and quality-checked, as well as fresh longan with thick, crunchy, aromatic pulp.
After preliminary processing, lotus seeds are simmered with pandan leaves until tender, then cooked in a standard sugar syrup. The longan pulp is skillfully separated and stuffed with the lotus seeds to form delicate “sweet pearls.” The mixture is lightly thickened with diluted tapioca starch and boiled again for consistency.

The result is a refreshing dessert that perfectly balances the sweetness of longan, the nuttiness of lotus seeds, and the natural fragrance of pandan leaves that are best enjoyed chilled.
Before serving, VINACS’s internal quality control team evaluates the dessert on flavor, presentation, and food safety standards.
