On October 2, 2024, Asiana Airlines (OZ) resumed flights from Seoul to Cam Ranh International Airport after several years of suspension due to Covid-19 pandemic among the warm welcome from Authorities, Offices and companies; officially marking the return of the 5-star airline to Cam Ranh according to Skytrax standards. After this first flight, the Airline will operate direct flights from Seoul - Cam Ranh - Seoul (ICN-CXR-ICN) with a frequency of 4 flights/week and will increase the frequency to 7 flights/week from the end of October 2024.

In preparation for the resumption of the Seoul - Cam Ranh flight route and bringing visitors from the land of Kim Chi to Khanh Hoa, Vietnam; Leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, some Departments of Khanh Hoa province and Cam Ranh International Airport authority held direct meetings with Leaders of Asiana Airlines months ago. At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee welcomed Asiana Airlines' plan to reopen the Seoul - Cam Ranh – Seoul direct flights and pledged to support the Airlines' operations in Khanh Hoa province, creating opportunities for Asiana Airlines to operate direct flights from Seoul to Cam Ranh with higher frequency in the near future.
